Fireworks lights up Da Nang sky




The contest, entitled ‘Am Vang Song Han’ (Echo on the Han River) draws five teams from China, Spain, Australia, the Philippines and host Da Nang (Vietnam).

The Filipino team raised the curtain with their impressive performance named 'New Era' while the Spanish team brought the audiences a spectacular displays with original sound effects.

"We have more than 100 years of experience in fireworks making. We lost to Australia last year so this time we will try our best to win the contest," Captain of the Spanish team Patrick Brault excitedly said.

The last performance of the day marked the appearance of the Vietnamese team's fireworks. The performance, which was divided into four parts, accompanied by the traditional and modern music, expressed the idea of the reflection of the City's history from the past to the present, left much impression on the audiences.
The 2nd International Fireworks Contest is as part of the month-long festival to mark the city’s 34th Liberation Day (March 29). Tourists at the event will also have a chance to take part in various cultural, tourism and sports activities including the procession of flower boats and lantern release on the Han River, an art exhibition as well as various water sports.
